Frequent escapee may face Feb. trial

Miller County’s most prolific jail escapee will face a jury next month if he doesn’t enter a guilty plea later this week. “Pending here are three motions to continue until our February trial date,” said Circuit Judge Jim Hudson at a pretrail hearing Monday. Demarcus Cooks sat next to the judge at a small table in the law library on the second floor of the Miller County Courthouse.
