Campaign Rally | President Trump coming to Bossier City next week

While Santa Claus won't be coming to town for nearly two months, many in our area are looking for forward to another visitor.

President Donald Trump isn't coming to Texarkana, but will be in Bossier City on Thursday evening at the CenturyLink Center in support of Louisiana Republican gubernatorial candidate Eddie Rispone, who has made his dedication to the president the center of his campaign. Rispone faces incumbent Gov. John Bel Edwards in the state's Nov. 16 runoff election. You can request free tickets (up to two to a customer) at www.donaldjtrump.com/rallies and you better be quick.

The president was in Monroe, Louisiana, Wednesday and 40,000 people tried to get tickets for a venue that held only 10,000. Some who couldn't get inside were able to watch the rally live on a big screen outside.

Bossier's CenturyLink Center has a capacity of 15,000. We know there are a lot of locals who would love to see the president in person. So good luck with the tickets.

And keep in mind that an early forecast says a wintry mix of snow and ice is possible next week. Don't worry - the "never-Trumpers" can't control the weather. But if that comes to pass, drive safely.
