ROUND ROCK, Texas-Pleasant Grove cross country runner Katie Hutcheson made school history when she competed for her fourth time at the Class 4A state cross country meet on Nov. 3 at Old Settlers Park.
Hutcheson placed 62nd at the state meet, finished 13th in regionals and was second in district. Her head coach was Gina Clark, who was the fourth different coach that Hutcheson ran for while at Pleasant Grove.
She also ran under
Hawk coaches Crystal Thomas, Jeff Haynes and Jason Boston.
"Each coach brought their own distinct personality and strengths to help me become a better runner and person," Hutcheson said. "I am grateful to the Pleasant Grove community for the support they have shown me."

Rivercrest, L-K swap wins
LINDEN, Texas-Destiny Webster and Ashtin Patterson's eight points each paced Linden-Kildare past Rivercrest in their eighth grade girls basketball game, 20-15.
Rivercrest defeated L-K in the seventh grade game, 15-12.
Makaylin King, Kaycee Neville and Greenlee Smith each scored four points for the Lady Tigers.
