Six teams open up play in the Arkansas Dixie 12u Ozone state tournament today at Ed Worrell Park in Texarkana, Ark., in a double elimination format.
Idabel takes on Ashdown at 6 p.m. on Optimist Field, while Texarkana clashes with Lafayette County on Filogamo Field at 6 p.m.
Searcy faces off with Dierks on Filogamo Field at 8 p.m. The winner of the tournamnet earns a berth in the World Series in Oxford, Ala.
The action continues with four games on Saturday with the first game on Filogamo Field at 10 a.m.
