McNab to host annual festival

McNab, Ark., hosts the 16th annual Twin Rivers Festival April 21-22 in the city park with activities ranging from a parade, singers and pool tournament to a barbecue.

McNab is near the convergence of the Red and Little rivers in Hempstead County.

The festival takes place in the city park at 3630 Arkansas Highway 355 S. The town is about 3 miles north of Fulton.

The festival raises funds for the maintenance of the city park, Mayor James Conway said.

The theme is "Always better working together."

The activities include:

  • 4 p.m. April 21, "Gospel Explosion"
  • 9:30 a.m. April 22, festival opening
  • Noon parade
  • 9:30 a.m. Saturday, pool tournament

Onstage at 1 p.m. Saturday will be recording artists Shirlene Jackson, J2W Christian Rap and JJ Calicott.

Bring lawn chairs.
