A felony arrest warrant has been issued by Texarkana, Texas, Police for LeGus Holloway, 69, of Texarkana Texas, for cruelty to non-livestock animals.
The warrant and investigation are result of a video that surfaced over the weekend on social media that shows Holloway viciously abusing a dog, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for TTPD.
Officers are currently searching for Holloway but have not yet been able to find him.
At this point, there are concerns for Holloway's safety as a result of threatening comments that some people have made on social media.
Police said the dog has been taken to a local veterinary clinic by the owner.
Animal Control is still scheduled to check on the dog at the clinic.
