Historical Society to meet at Clinton birthplace site

HOPE, Ark.-The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace National Historic Site.

The public is invited. Park staff will provide the program and tour of the only national park in Hempstead County. The building was the first home of former President Bill Clinton and the home of his grandparents. Clinton lived there for the first four years of his life with his mother and maternal grandparents. He continued to visit his grandparents there until his grandfather's death in 1957.

The historical society brings awareness of the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. The museum is at 117 S. Hervey St. For more information, call 870-703-8256 or email [email protected].
