Police charge Ashdown man in child porn case

James Leroy Brown remains in custody

An Ashdown, Ark., man has been charged with computer child pornography, according to court records.

James Leroy Brown, 32, was charged with "distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child." Brown appeared in court on his first appearance Feb. 20 in the Little River County Circuit Court in Ashdown.

The charge is a Class B felony.

Brown remains in the Little River County jail in Ashdown, and a $10,000 bond was set.

A woman reported to the Ashdown Police Department on Feb. 7 that she found sexually explicit messages on her boyfriend's phone talking to an ex-girlfriend about performing sexual acts with the woman's 10-year-old daughter.

The photograph of the messages were shown to Ashdown Police Detective Lynn Baucum.

Brown allegedly asked the woman to send more photos of the child's buttocks and back.

During an interview with the police, Brown said the woman had an "incest fantasy and he was only going along with her wishes."
