Texarkana area nonprofit organizations can apply for grants from the Texarkana Area Community Foundation until Aug. 15.
Application for Giving Tree Grants must be made on the Arkansas Community Foundation website, arcf.org.
Organizations that qualify for grants are 501(c)(3) charities in Bowie County in Texas and in Miller, Little River, Sevier, Howard and Hempstead counties in Arkansas. Charities include food pantries, medical clinics, educational organizations and family-help organizations.
For more information about grant requirements, go to the Arkansas Community Foundation website and click on the Nonprofit tab. Next click on "Apply for a Grant" then select "Giving Tree Grants" in the left margin.
