Texarkana, Ark., School District issued a callout to parents at College Hill Middle School on Thursday after students reported seeing someone in the woods near the school about 2:30 p.m.
District spokeswoman Genia Bullock said a 911 call was issued, and the school's administration and security team searched the woods along with Texarkana, Ark., Police Department. They found nothing.
"When they interviewed the kids, they were getting conflicting information," she said. "Once they began interviewing the kids, the story started changing quite a bit."
The school then notified parents of the situation, she said.
"People have a heightened sensitivity to things now, and understandably so," Bullock said.
