The cities of Texarkana, Texas, and Arkansas have partnered with Main Street Texarkana and American Express to encourage residents to participate in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24.
Residents are encouraged to show their support for area small businesses by shopping local over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Businesses wishing to participate in Small Business Saturday are encouraged to stop by City Hall or the Main Street office before Nov. 20th to receive a free small business packet containing complementary promotional items. Small businesses also can visit shopsmall.com/getready to create custom promotional materials for the day.
The city of Texarkana, Texas, encourages local businesses who are planning Small Business Saturday promotions or activities to connect via the city's Facebook page or Instagram account.
