Patients seeking high-quality primary care have a new option with the addition of Dr. Priyal Patel to the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic-Texarkana team.

Patel joins the clinic after completing her residency in family medicine at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Texarkana and her medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
Patel already has been treating local patients at CHRISTUS St. Michael during her residency and during her time moonlighting in the Ashdown Emergency Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Board of Family Medicine and has participated in Wild About Wellness and the MASH Summer Program in Texarkana.
"I believe it is important for everyone to establish a close working relationship with their primary care provider," Patel said. "When patient and provider work together and communicate well, the results improve dramatically for the patients. They live healthier lives, and we are able to manage and even prevent many chronic or long-term conditions.
