Liberty-Eylau Independent School District's Board of Trustees will meet Thursday evening to consider calling a trustee election on May 4. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the administration building.
Terms are ending for Place Three's Chad Turner and Place Four's Trevelyan Hodge, who was appointed to the position folowing Dan Haskins' death in 2016.
Those interested in running for the positions may sign up beginning Wednesday. Applications will be accepted through Feb. 15 in the L-EISD Administration Building, 2901 Leopard Drive. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and the office will be open until 5 p.m. Feb. 15.

A public hearing will also be held on the district's Texas Academic Performance Report from the Texas Education Association and members will hear a report from Superintendent Ronnie Thompson and the December financial report.
