A lineman with Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative is recovering after making contact with a downed power line Monday in Morris County.
Shawn Henderson is still undergoing test but is expected to make a full recovery, according to information from Bowie-Cass Electric.
Shawn Henderson was working with a crew about 3 p.m. Monday, in a wooded area south of Daingerfield in Morris County when he made contact with a hot power line that had been downed by a fallen tree. The crew called 911 and administered CPR including an AED defibrillator until the ambulance arrived.
Henderson was flown to a Tyler, Texas hospital.
The Morris County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident.
Bowie-Cass Electric is a member-owned nonprofit electric utility that serves six counties of Northeast Texas including Bowie.
