Archie H. Carney, 82, of Madisonville, Ky., died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in Madisonville. Mr. Carney was born March 30, 1935, in Cadiz, Ky. He was former owner of a small engine sales and repair business in Texarkana, a member of Masonic Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Dell Carney of Madisonville; one daughter, Connie Morgan of New Iberia, La.; four stepdaughters, Patricia Johnson, Brenda Sullivan, Fonda Lowe and Kathy Ayers of Madisonville; one half-sister, Shirley McCain Gillum of Oregon; one grandson, Jason Galewski of Lafayette, La.; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Elizabeth Galewski; nine stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
