MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Rickey Joe, 60, of Stephens, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, in a Little Rock hospital. The Rev. Joe was born Oct. 13, 1956 in Stephens. He was pastor of Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Magnolia, employed with MJD Precision Group, formerly employed with International Paper, SMI Steel and Elk Roofing, former pastor of Bethany Baptist Church, McNeil, Ark., and a deacon and choir member with St. Stephens Baptist Church, Stephens. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Barbara Todd-Joe; one son, Roderick Torrence of Camden, Ark.; three daughters, Ginger Joe and Brandi Joe of Lancaster, Texas, and Amber Joe-Willis of Texarkana; his mother, Bobbie Joe of Stephens; one brother, Vernis Joe Jr. of Stephens; three sisters, Mearlene Hunter of Stephens, Doris Jean Strickland of Camden, Ark., and Ida Myrtle Frazier of Louann, Ark.; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at St. Stephens Baptist Church with the Revs. Donald R. Radford and Daryl Hope officiating. Burial will be in Seminary Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
