ANGELICA BEARD

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Angelica P. Beard, 30, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, March 24, 2017, in Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Beard was born April 10, 1986, in Jacksonville, N.C. She was a physical education teacher at Corprew Elementary School, the Mount Pleasant High School Girls track coach and a member of Mount Vernon Heights Congregational Church, Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Sheppard Street Church of Christ, Mount Pleasant. Survivors include her husband, Anterius D. Beard Sr. of Mount Pleasant; four children, Terrance Beard, Terrelle Beard, Anterius D. Beard Jr. and Paris Beard of Mount Pleasant; her parents, Vivianna and Troy DeCohen of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Chanelle Thomas of Baton Rouge and Micaela DeCohen of Mount Vernon; one brother, Christopher Reed of Suffolk, Va.; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Mount Pleasant, with Skippy Norman officiating. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.
