JOHN RUTLEDGE SR.

John K. Rutledge Sr., 78 of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Rutledge was born Aug. 19, 1938 in Garland City, Ark. He was a retired bushhogger and a member of First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Rutledge Sr.; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Rutledge Paslay. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Depuy Rutledge; one daughter, Angela Humphrey of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Keith Rutledge Jr. of Texarkana and Robert and Jennifer Rutledge of Corinth, Texas; one brother, Charles Rutledge of Huffman, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with the Rev. Fred Calhoun officiating.
