Annie Lorene Wilson Poag, 87, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born April 3, 1930, in the Williamson community. She was a homemaker and co-owner of Poag Lumber Company in Dierks. Mrs. Poag was a member of First Baptist Church in De Queen, the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Good Sam's. She loved spending time with family and friends, her church, camping and cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Mrs. Poag was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Loy Poag; her parents, M.T. Wilson and Sallie Stringfellow Wilson; three brothers, Elmer, Mickey and L.D.; one sister, Ruby Carpenter; and one granddaughter, Emily McKellar. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Bobby Miller of Lockesburg and Donna and Tony McKellar of Rogers, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amy Miller of Texarkana, Rob Miller of Lockesburg, Elizabeth McKellar of Columbus, Ohio, Katherine and Jake Rooney and Nicole McKellar of Rogers, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Ashley and Ricky Trotter of Lockesburg, Allie Trotter of De Queen, two great-great grandchildren, Kaden and Gunner of Lockesburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Corine and Dalie Hooker of Sheridan, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Sue Wilson of De Queen; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Poag will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, officiated by Roy Conatser. Burial will follow at Redmen Cemetery in De Queen under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 9 at Wilkerson. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in De Queen.
