BUDDY BURLESON

Marvin "Buddy" Burleson, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, in a local hospice. Mr. Burleson was born June 25, 1932, in Corley, Texas. He was retired from Day and Zimmermann, Inc., and also from Martin Transport Company and a member of Westlawn Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Burleson; and one stepson, Kenneth Pulse. Survivors include his wife, Euline Burleson of Texarkana; one daughter, Connie Moore of Texarkana; one sister, Sue Netherland of Texarkana; two grandchildren and one spouse, Justin Moore of Texarkana and Amy and Rex Harris of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three great grandchildren, Addison Harris, Rex Harris and Rush Harris; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
