TOMMIE SPRATT JR.

LINDEN, Texas—Tommie Spratt Jr., 80, of Richmond, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, in a Houston nursing home. Mr. Spratt was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Bivins, Texas. He was retired from General Motors, a deacon and member of New Heaven Missionary Baptist Church and former member of St. Paul Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Spratt of Richmond; two stepdaughters, Yolanda Wright of Texas and Michelle Booth of Michigan; three sons-in-law, Roy Eldridge and Kerry Y. Wright of Texas and Ricky Booth of Michigan; one god daughter, Anya Jones; three siblings, Oliver Spratt, Carol Spratt and Ruth Spratt of Texas; 12 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Roy F. Bailey and Thomas W. Harper officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Bivins, under direction of Linden Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
