ATLANTA, Texas—Delton Washington, 88, of Atlanta died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mr. Washington was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Cass County, Texas. He was retired from Texas Department of Transportation, former District Deputy Grand Master of Fifth Masonic District, Past Master of Atlanta Lodge No. 463, a member of American Legion Post No. 258, Linden Lodge No. 192, Scottish Rite Temple, Dallas, Hella Shrine Organization, Dallas, and First Baptist Church, Atlanta, and Men's Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Humphrey Washington of Atlanta; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger Delton and Janet Washington of Atlanta; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Milton and Stella Washington of Linden and Joan Humphrey of Atlanta; two grandsons, Benjamin Washington and Jonathan Washington of Houston; two stepgrandsons, Justin Rizer of Atlanta and Jason Rizer of Royce City, Texas; and one great-grandson. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, with Wes Mills and James Williams officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Linden Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
