EMORY WALKER

Emory Lee Walker, 74, of Texarkana, Ark., died Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in a local hospital. Mr. Walker was born Feb. 9, 1945, in Oak Grove, Texas. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Walker of Texarkana; two sons, Brandon Walker and Justin Walker of Texarkana; two daughters, Daphne Walker and Christel Walker of Texarkana; two brothers, Less Walker of Texarkana and Eddie Smith of Topeka, Kan.; three sisters, May Johnson and Rachel Miles of Texarkana and Hattie Sherman of Topeka; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Friday at Lyles Funeral Home with the Rev. David Boone officiating. Burial will be in Fair Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
