HOPE, Ark.—Dorsey "Wayne" Abbott, 87, of Hope died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, in Hope. Mr. Abbott was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Hempstead County, Ark. He was a retired timberland manager with Partee Flooring, a member of The Hope Church of Christ and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann; and one son, Dennis. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Marcia Ann and Jeff Jester of Magnolia, Ark., and Alecia Lynn O'Connor of West Monroe, La.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Jester and Christopher O'Connor; two great-grandchildren, Hays Jester and Margo Jester; and one special friend, Elaine Esters of Stamps. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
