Courtney “Black” Richardson, age 44, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his residence. Courtney was born June 2, 1977, in Naples, Texas, to Willie Whetstone and Debra Richardson. He was employed with Lone Star Trucking; and was a Baptist by faith. He loved making people laugh; and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Pauline McGuire; grandmothers, Erma Richardson, Naiomi Whetstone; grandfathers, Isaac Scott, O.C. Richardson, Sr.; aunts, Betty Cheatham, Angela Abraham, Winnie Nell Lightsey, Rosie Whetstone; uncles, Charles Richardson, O.C. Richardson, Jr., Christopher “Bay Bay” Whetstone; Bonus Dad, Bobby Don Chism. Courtney is survived by his children, Kieston Washington Richardson, Kenyen Washington, Adriunna Walton; mother, Debra Chism; father, Willie Dale Whetstone; brothers, Remon Richardson, Kerry Richardson and wife Mesa, Mario Barber; sisters, Nakeya Ericks and husband Don, Banisha Chism, April Chism, Kevia Barber, Sharda Barber; grandchild, Jordan Taylor; aunts, Senetha Epps, Felecia Moore and husband Herschel, Katy Lou Lillard, Kathy Sue Whetstone, Leteshia Watson; uncles, Edward Wayne Whetstone; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Queen City, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Rev. Antwyn Falls officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
