IN OUR VIEW/The Debt Ceiling: Should Congress do away with borrowing limit?

Once again Congress has managed to come to a compromise and raise the national debt ceiling before the country faced a disastrous default on its financial obligations.

It's become an all-too familiar scenario. Democrats and Republicans play chicken with our country's credit rating -- and the paychecks of federal workers as well as much-needed retirement payments to millions of American seniors -- just to gain political points.

Many, including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen are suggesting it's time to do away with the federal debt ceiling completely. They note it doesn't really do anything to contain spending and reduce debt and the regular political wrangling over raising the limit brings the country close to default to often for comfort.

We want to know what you think. Should Congress get rid of the debt ceiling? Or should it remain in place?

Last Week: Raising The Age?

Last week's question was about raising the minimum age for social media use. Should Congress raise the minimum age for social media use, even if it may be struck down in court? If you are a parent, do these allegations make it more likely that you will take action restrict your children's use of social media?
