LONGVIEW, Texas -- Texas High's defense delivered a shut out against Pine Tree.

The Tigers swarmed the Pirate offense all night and limited the host team to just 79 yards of total offense during THS' 38-0 win Friday at Pirate Stadium.

The victory extended Texas High's district win streak to 14 in a row with THS coming home for two home league games before finishing on the road in the regular season finale in November.

The Tigers (6-0, 4-0) had 374 yards of total offense with 303 coming via the ground attack. Quarterback Brayson McHenry rushed for 140 yards and a TD on just seven carries, Brayson Stewart added 19 rushes for 94 yards and three scores, and Trent Kelly contributed 64 yards and a TD on 10 totes.

Stewart was also 7-of-12 passing for 71 yards as both teams battled a strong wind throughout the game.

Texas High scored three times in the third quarter against the Pirates (4-3, 2-2).

McHenry darted 24 yards around the right side to finish the first drive of the second half, and the ensuing Pirate possession was cut short on a fumble recovery by Braxton White at the Pine Tree 21.

Four plays later, Stewart ran for his third TD of the game on an 8-yard run.

Trent Kelly added a 5-yard scoring run on the next Tiger drive, after the defense thwarted a fourth-down attempt by the Pirates.

The Tigers limited Pine Tree to 12 yards of offense before halftime and held a 17-point advantage at intermission.

Stewart scored on runs of 1 and 14 yards, and Texas High piled up 164 yards on the ground in the opening half. Stewart had 15 carries for 72 yards in the half, and McHenry added five rushes for 86 yards.

THS cornerback Michael Thomas intercepted a pass that was tipped by Jalen Jones, and the short field helped set up Austin Miller's 22-yard field goal with 1:49 left before halftime.
