TEXARKANA, Ark. -- The School Board here will discuss face covering guidelines and non-contracted rates of pay in a regular meeting this evening.

TASD has been reevaluating its mask guidelines monthly. Superintendent Dr. Becky Kesler said during last month's meeting that it was the right move to keep requiring them while indoors for another month.

"We realize wearing a mask is not popular, and no one prefers wearing masks," she said. "But we would definitely prefer keeping our students and staff healthy."

This topic will be addressed during Kesler's reports to the board.

Before discussing this, the board will hear a report from North Heights Community School and consider consent agenda items.

Business Manager Andrew Hill will present the finance report, as well as bids and salary resolutions to be considered.

Dr. Robin Hickerson, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, will make a report and non-contracted rates of pay will be discussed.

An executive session will be considered to discuss personnel matters.

(The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the TASD Administration Building, 3435 Jefferson Ave.)
