LAST WEEK: Texas High extended its district win streak to 14 in a row with a 38-0 win over Pine Tree in District 9-5A, Division II play, and the Indians fell to Nacogdoches, 27-14.

LAST YEAR: The Tigers topped Jacksonville, 52-23.

GAME FACTS: Tonight is Senior Night for THS. The Indians have lost three in a row. Jacksonville averages 22.9 points and allows 38.4 points per game. The Indians averages 266 passing yards and 84.7 rushing yards per game. Ryan McCown has connected on 89-of-153 passes for 1,306 yards, 10 TDs and six interceptions. J.T. Johnson (46-112-4) and Isaiah Mallard (35-186-2) lead the ground attack, and Devin McCuin has 30 receptions for 529 yards and four scores. Texas High scores 34 points and gives up only 12 points per game. Led by a punishing ground game and dominant defense, the Tigers average 335.5 yards of total offense while allowing just 230.7 to opponents. Running Back Braylon Stewart has 130 carries for 873 yards and 13 TDs, and QB Brayson McHenry has hit on 44-of-74 passes for 580 yards, five TDs and no picks.

COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "We feel good about where we are right now; there's still a lot of the regular season left. We are figuring who we are and where we're headed, as a team, if nothing else.

"Jacksonville has one of the better quarterbacks in all of East Texas. He's a McCown kid, and his bloodline has proven to be competitors over many, many years in the state.

"Jacksonville does a great job of spreading the ball around; they've been playing a lot of close football games and are still in the playoff hunt with a lot to play for."
