Prescott thumps Bismarck, 52-14

PRESCOTT, Ark. -- Carston Poole threw for 390 yards on 15-of-23 passing with five touchdowns and a pick as Prescott pulverized Bismarck, 52-14, at Cummins Stadium in a varsity football game on Friday.

The Curley Wolves took a 26-7 lead at halftime. Poole hit Jacaylen Zachary on a 65-yard bomb for a score with 5:17 left in the first quarter. The 2-point conversion was no good.

Poole found Zachary on a 24-yard strike with 11 seconds left in the first to give Prescott a 12-0 edge.

Poole connected on a 22-yard pass to Eric Grigsby to pad the Curley Wolves' lead, 19-0. Jaylon Hopson sped to the end zone from 17 yards out to give Prescott a 26-0 lead with 9:10 left until halftime.

Hopson scored on a 9-yard run with 5:09 to go in the third as the Curley Wolves grabbed a 33-14 advantage. Hopson, who finished with three rushing touchdowns, scored again on a 64-yard scamper to put Prescott up, 40-14, late in the third.

Poole threw a 41-yard TD pass to Zachary to make it 46-14 in the third.

Grigsby caught a 55-yard pass from Poole to put the game out of reach, 55-14, with 11:25 left in the game.

Prescott finished with 189 yards on the ground, while the Curley Wolf defense held the Lions to 63 yards.
