TEXARKANA, Texas -- The formula is simple for Texas High's varsity volleyball team, win and the outright District 15-5A championship is the Lady Tigers. Lose, and Texas High shares the league crown with Marshall.
Texas High (26-11, 10-1), idle Friday, will close out the regular season against second-place Marshall (26-11, 8-2) Tuesday evening in the Tiger Center. The Tigers blanked the Lady Mavericks, 3-0, in the first round at Marshall.
The Mavericks were scheduled to host last-place Mount Pleasant (9-15, 0-7) Friday, so a win there would give Marshall a 9-2 league record. The Mavs would have to beat Texas High to gain a share of the title.
