ATLANTA, Texas -- Atlanta's 5K walk/run Glow Run in October is getting to be one of the area's most popular events. It is, at least, one of the most fun.

This year's 5K Glow Run and Monster Mile Costume contest were quite successful, especially in giving everyone the opportunity to observe everyone else.

One of the reasons the Glow Run is successful is because it is so well-organized. Plenty of officials from law enforcement and volunteers with the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce were on hand to make everyone feel informed and safe.

After all, what could go wrong among people wearing colorful lights and running through neighborhoods? Isn't that what everyone wants to do?

Take note of the pictures here and ask yourself if this doesn't seem to be an apparently good time.

And then, make note to participate in next year's event.

It is a time, the chamber's descriptive literature says of the Glow Run, "when we don't sweat, we glow."

The event is sponsored primarily by Flint's Furniture and Appliance. Stop by and tell the business you appreciate their fall season festive opportunity to glow a little bit.
