TEXARKANA, Texas -- Bail has been set at $200,000 for a Texarkana man accused of sexual misconduct with an 8-year-old girl.
Mitchell Allan Boileau, 33, is accused of two counts of indecency with a child by contact involving the 8-year-old daughter of a woman he used to date, according to a probable cause affidavit. Boileau allegedly engaged in sexually abusive conduct with the child in approximately April of 2019, when the alleged victim would have been about 6, and in August 2021.
Boileau allegedly told the girl to keep his conduct with her a secret from her mother "or she wouldn't get her phone," the affidavit states.
Boileau was arrested Jan. 11 by members of the Texarkana Texas Police Department and is currently being held in the Bowie County jail. Bail has been set at $100,000 on each count of indecency with a child by contact.
