DALLAS, Texas -- Charles Brooks Jr. is wanted on a warrant out of Dallas County for cutting off his ankle monitor, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Brooks' location is unknown.

Brooks is from Atlanta, Texas, and also has a residence in Dallas. He was arrested in May 2021 on a charge of injury to a child with intent to cause severe bodily injury and serious mental deficiency or impairment, according to law enforcement.

The charge is a first-degree felony punishable by a maximum sentence of 99 years or life in prison and/or a maximum fine of $10,000. He was released on bail from the Dallas County jail but required to wear an ankle monitor.
