Nancy Johnson

Nancy "Sharon" Johnson, 71, of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Santa Monica, Calif. She was retired from Bowie County Appraisal District and was a former Stanco employee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Glendon Johnson Sr.; and one grandson, Kodi Kaleo Scott. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Liz Shaw of Hooks and Earl Glendon Jr. and Stephanie Johnson of Weatherford, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Christie and Michael Scott and Angelia and Randy Scott of Hooks and Leonia Shaw of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, James "Jim" De Soto of New Boston, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with Bill Bullock officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
