DE QUEEN, Ark.—Geraldine Lee Desmond, 80, of De Queen died Sunday, April 1, 2018, in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Desmond was born Nov. 22, 1937, in De Queen. She was a homemaker and a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Kathryn Ross of Texarkana; one daughter, Jerri Edd of Wilton, Ark.; one stepson, Jeremy Lomax of Nash, Texas; two sisters, Irene Daniels and Jane McCoy of De Queen; two godchildren, Lawrence Lewis and Becky Hendershot of De Queen; one special friend, Francisco Padrinez; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church, De Queen, with Dr. Carl Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
