EUNICE MATTHIS

Eunice B. Matthis, 90, of Texarkana died Tuesday, March 27, at her home. Mrs. Matthis was born Jan. 5, 1928, in Jefferson, Texas. She was a former secretary and a deaconess and member of New Baptist Bible Fellowship. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Izora Francine Williams and Andree Denise and Ronnie Ray of Wake Village, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Peggy Ferrell of Fort Worth, Texas, and Norris and Agnes Ferrell of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Dorothy Smith of Jefferson, Texas; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. Morris Turner and Tony Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
