JAMES THOMAS

James Michael Thomas, 64, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his home. Mr. Thomas was born Feb. 9, 1954 in Texarkana, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., employed with Wal-Mart, New Boston, and a Christian. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Amanda and John Ryther of Texarkana and Suzanne Thomas Payne of Ashdown, Ark.; one brother, Malcolm Jr. and Evelyn Thomas of Seagoville, Texas; one brother-in-law, A. C. Brooks, of DeKalb, Texas; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Skipper Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
