DeKALB, Texas—Kim Miller Patterson, 65, of New Boston, Texas, died Friday, April 6, 2018, in a Galveston, Texas, hospital. Mr. Patterson was born July 11, 1952, in Decatur, Ill. He was a buyer for Lykes Bros. and a member of Bowie County Child Welfare Board and First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brook and Aaron Houck of Lutz, Fla., and Kate and Alex Fisher of Madison, Wis.; two brothers, Greg Patterson and Bob VanOrman; one granddaughter, Madeleine Fisher; two stepgrandsons, Drake and Boden Houck; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, New Boston, under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Online registration is at batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
