Lehron Douglas "Doug" Hicks, 68, of Leary, Texas, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at a local hospice. Mr. Hicks was born Feb. 28, 1950, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic, former co-owner of the Owl's Perch in Hooks, Texas, formerly employed at Johnson's Control in Texarkana and a member of Heritage |Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Dean Hicks. Survivors include his wife, Pam Hicks of Leary; four sons, Ryan Cody Hicks of Texarkana, T.J. Fuglaar of San Diego, Caleb Fuglaar of Queen City, Texas, and Gabriel Fuglaar of Monroe, La.; one daughter, Brandee Henry of Nash, Texas; one sister, Gay May of Leary; one brother, Randal Hicks of Leary; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Red Lick Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
