Lillian Bertha Baker, age 90, of Texarkana, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Tommy, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was born in Port Huron, MI on March 23, 1928. She married Gordon Floyd Baker, also of Port Huron in 1947. Tommy and Gordon raised three boys and five girls in many locations: Michigan, Florida, California and Texarkana. Tommy loved to travel and visit her family and many friends across the US. She was known for her sweet disposition and quick smile. She was an extremely kind and welcoming person and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Tommy is survived by six of her children: Larry (Patrice) of Tucson, AZ, Linda Moore (Jerry) Lorna Bates, Jimmy (Pat), and Dawn Weed (John ) of Texarkana, and JoAnne Hill of Spokane, WA, and by her Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The pain of her loss is eased by knowing she has joined her husband, Gordon, her son, Randy, and her daughter Nancy, as well as her parents and siblings. Her wish was to be cremated and remembered without fuss. A celebration of her life by her immediate family will be scheduled sometime in the future.
