GEORGE VORHEASE

De QUEEN, Ark.—George Emory Vorhease, 65, of Haworth, Okla., died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in a Texarkana hospice. Mr. Vorhease was born Jan. 27, 1953, in Crossett, Ark. He was a retired Southern Baptist minister and electronic tech for Red River Army Depot, a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Crossroads, Ark., and a Vietnam War Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Amanda Vorhease of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Bambi and Dutch McGehee of Rockhill, S.C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Debbie Vorhease of Haworth; one granddaughter, Katherine McGehee of Rockhill; one nephew, Michael Vorhease of Crossett; two nieces, Danyel Vorhease of Maumelle, Ark., and Vanessa Gibson of Conway, Ark.; one greatnephew, Grant Vorhease of Crossett; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Chandler Funeral Home with Roy Conatser officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.
