HOPE, Ark.—Joyce Marie Simmons Young, 85, of Ashdown, Ark., died Thursday, April 12, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Young was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Peason, La. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. Young Sr. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen J. Jr. and Sandra Young of Ashdown and Robert and Louise Young of Burwell, Neb.; one sister, Audrey Jones of Texarkana, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carolyn Simmons of Sedona, Ariz.; two grandsons, Andy Young and Allen J. Young III; and one great-grandson, Dakota Young. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
