HARRIET STROMAN

DeKALB, Texas—Harriet Stroman, 64, of Simms, Texas, died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at her home. Ms. Stroman was born Jan. 13, 1954. She was a retired dietitian for the former New Boston Hospital and a member of Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy L. Fulton and Kimberley Stroman of Simms, Texas; one sister, Henrietta Mears of Simms; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jesse Frank Walker of Simms and Donny and Diane Walker of New Boston, Texas; three grandchildren, Julia M. Camacho, Corey Grider and Mason H. Stroman; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wards Creek Cemetery with John Ratliff officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Online registration is at batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
