Janie Bishop

HOPE, Ark.—Janie Mae Bishop, 70, of Hope died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in a Texarkana hospital. Mrs. Bishop was born April 18, 1947, in Lewisville, Ark. She was formerly employed with Charlie Restaurant, Champion Auto Parts and Heather Manor Nursing Home and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Priscilla Horton of Gulf Port, Miss., and Kenneth Phillips; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Earl Horton, Jackie and Dorothy Horton and Joyce Horton of Hope; one special friend, William White; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Haynes Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Two Mile Branch under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with visitation 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
