BOB PIRKEY

DeKALB, Texas—Bobby Dan 'Bob' Pirkey, 84, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. Pirkey was born Aug. 19, 1933. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a farmer, a rancher, a Methodist and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Pirkey of Texarkana; one daughter, Dana Jaggers of Redwater, Texas; two sons, Roland Pirkey and Paul Fulmer of Texarkana; one sister, Margaret Sue Terrell of Greenville, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Lydia Cemetery, Lydia, Texas, with Dickey Pirkey officiating. Burial will be under direction of Dekalb Funeral Home.
