ELLA BUTLER

Ella Butler, 88, of Maud, Texas, died Monday, April 16, 2018, in a local hospital. Ms. Butler was born Dec. 28, 1929. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Rochelle Benford of Cameron, Texas; one daughter, Brittany Johnson of Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, Joe Johnson of Dallas; six sisters, Nadine Eaton of College Station, Texas, Essie Bowie of Cameron, Texas, Ruby Jackson of Ennis, Texas, Mae Ola Norris of Newark, Delaware, Elnora Smith of Maud, Texas, and Carol Robertson of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church, Redwater, Texas, with Lester Smith and the Rev. Anthony Page officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at haynesmortuary.com.
