MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Calvin Curtis "Neek" Smith, 66, of Waldo, Ark., died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his home. Mr. Smith was born March 21, 1952, in Waldo. He was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Smith Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Cherish Noel Murphy. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Smith of Waldo; two sons, Calvin D. Smith of Waldo and Jermaine Smith of Stamps, Ark.; his mother and stepfather, Essie V. and Jackie Smith of Waldo; one sister, Verna D. Smith of Lansing, Mich.; six brothers, Kenneth Smith, Don Elston Smith, Earnest Standoak and John Henry Mack of Waldo, Gerard Smith of Magnolia and Otis Standoak of Hope; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at R.L. Reed Funeral Home with Timothy S. Biddle officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Waldo. Visitation will be noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
