Marvis Parker

MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Marvis O. Parker, 74, of Haynesville, La., died Saturday, April 21, 2018, in a Shreveport, La., hospital. Ms. Parker was born Dec. 31, 1943, in Emerson, Ark. Survivors include two sisters, Dearlean Hughes of Magnolia and Loretta Ramey of Belton, Mo.; and four brothers, Claude L. Henry of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jimmie Hughes of Dallas, H.D. Hughes Jr. of Kansas City, Mo., and Hal Hughes of Magnolia. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Glover Memorial COGIC, Emerson, Ark., with Jeffers Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Ward Chapel Cemetery under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
