Doris Collvins Richards Feldmann

JUNE 16, 1932 TO July 30, 2018 On July 30, 2018, Doris Collvins Richards Feldmann, of New Boston, TX was called home by our Lord. Doris was predeceased by husband Dr. Gerald Leon Richards and son Gerald Scott Richards. She is survived by her grandsons, William Scott Richards of Tempe, AZ, Walter Scott Richards of Austin, TX, and Ansel Scott Richards of Chicago, IL, and by granddaughter Kelley Anne Richards and daughter-in-law Molly Fowler Richards, both of Southlake, TX. Mrs. Feldmann was born in Avery, TX, the daughter of William and Sadie Collvins, and sister of Bill and Jimmy Collvins. She was also loved by the late Robert G. Feldmann and many other very dear and special cousins, family and friends. In addition to her legacy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Doris had a successful career as Home Economist with Appalachian Power (Princeton, WV) and West Texas Utilities (San Angelo, TX), and she touched many lives as a Home Economics teacher. She was a faith filled member of First Baptist Church of Texarkana, where she treasured her friendships in the Straight Cutters Sunday School Class. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Park Cemetery, Princeton, WV. The family will receive friends at Chapelwood Funeral Home following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Gerald L. Richards Scholarship Fund of Angelo State University at: Office of Development and Alumni Relations, ASU Station #11023, San Angelo, Texas 76909-1023. Be sure to designate the Dr. Gerald L.
